Heidi will be on leave from the practice from 1st May until 1st July 2025. New patient GP referrals will not be triaged or accepted during this time period. Following her return to the practice, if an appointment for new patients is still required, please send through a GP referral then. During this time existing clients are requested to seek acute medical care or medication scripts from their usual primary care GP or other treating specialists. The doctors at Coastal Developmental Paediatrics are all independent practitioners and as such are unable to offer cover for each other's patients, although in specific circumstances they will endeavour to assist if possible. This may require a consultation with another doctor if appropriate.

A Developmental Paediatric Consultant since 2003, Dr Heidi Webster’s goals in working with children and families are to:

  • Best understand the child’s individual predicaments
  • Take into account the influence of family, school, and broader community environments
  • Facilitate meaningful early intervention
  • Increase parents’ understanding and build their capacity to support their child
  • Interface with the child’s allied health and education teams through case-conferencing and/or school visits
  • Maximise the child’s potential and quality of life in all their environments.

Heidi has limited capacity to accept new patients for Developmental and Behavioural issues for later 2025 - 2026, and is not accepting referrals for new medical issues, due to having a large patient caseload of existing clients. New patient GP referrals will be triaged by Dr Webster to assess whether the client's needs are within her current capacity to assist.

Heidi has practiced in a public and private capacity on the Sunshine Coast since 2007, and established the Queensland Health Sunshine Coast Child Development Service prior to moving into fulltime private consulting in Coastal Developmental Paediatrics.
