Paediatricians
Developmental Paediatricians are paediatric (child) doctors with specialist training in the assessment and management of childhood developmental and behavioural conditions. The assessment process aims to help families to better understand and support their children’s challenges, while encouraging and celebrating their strengths. Paediatricians' management recommendations are provided following comprehensive assessment processes and are made with the child's best interest in mind, often taking into consideration information provided by other health and educational professionals and may involve the advice of trusted specialist medical colleagues. Paediatrician diagnoses and managment recommendations may not always align with parental assumptions and goals when engaging a Paediatrician's services, and in that case parents are entitled to seek a second specialist medical opinion outside of the practice.
